Decus Research offers both microbiological and chemistry testing of water samples.

Microbiological Analysis of liquids 

Our microbiology division is able to undertake the following tests on water samples: 

• Anaerobic Colony Count (heterotrophic bacteria) at 22 degrees ℃ and 37 degrees ℃.
• Coliforms (presumptive)
• E.coli (presumptive)
• Pseudomonas aeruginosa (presumptive)
• Sulphite reducing clostridia
• Enterococci

Chemical Analysis of liquids

Decus Research has a comprehensive chemical analysis capability for water samples and routinely assesses the chemical composition of potable water, effluent, leachate and surface waters.

We analyse water for metals (ICP OES), organic compounds (GCMS) and inorganic compounds and salts (discrete analyser) to produce results quickly and efficiently in a repeatable and legally defensible manner.

We also utilise traditional wet chemistry methods, such as titrations, to determine Biological Oxygen Demand and other parameters which are tested by these methods.
