Decus Research Limited was established in 2003 and provides comprehensive laboratory testing services and scientific consultancy support. 

Decus Research has held UKAS ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation since 2008. 

The range of services and our team of specialists is continually expanding.  If one of your testing requirements is not listed on the website, please contact our friendly team to discuss our capability. 

We establish strong and trusted partnerships with our clients and consequently much of our work results from repeat business from happy clients who we have supported and helped to grow in their own field of work.

Our friendly and approachable scientific, chemistry and microbiology staff support clients across the UK and are happy to undertake regular routine compliance testing or to help you with one off bespoke and complex analysis.

Meet the Management Team

Adam Whitehouse

Adam Whitehouse

Adam supervises all aspects of the chemistry laboratory and is now appointed as a Director of the business.

Adam Whitehouse

Adam is a qualified Chemist with a BSc (Hons) 2:1 from Bristol University and has been working in a commercial chemistry laboratory since 2011.
Working initially as a technician, Adam has gained a full understanding of all of the testing techniques undertaken by a commercial laboratory and graduated through being Quality Manager, looking after the UKAS Accreditation, to now being the Laboratory Manager.
Adam supervises all aspects of the chemistry laboratory and is now appointed as a Director of the business.
Karen Morris

Karen Morris

Karen is the microbiology Quality manager at Decus Research Limited.

Karen is a qualified Microbiologist with an MSc (Hons) 2:1 in Microbiology.
Karen has worked in commercial food microbiology laboratories since 2005 and has been in the role of Quality Manager since 2015.
Karen has a detailed knowledge of all aspects of running a high quality commercial microbiology laboratory and now is the microbiology Quality manager at Decus Research Limited.
Karen is also fully familiar with RSA requirements and is working to implement this system at Decus.
Steve Whitehouse

Steve now works with the scientific team to develop the business.

Steve graduated from Nottingham University with a First Class Honors Degree in Engineering and became a Chartered Engineer in 1991.
Steve’s first role was in a metallurgical laboratory at a Copper refinery in 1979, following which he developed specialist skills in contaminated land remediation and effluent treatment.
Steve has worked on research projects and is named a co – author on patents for conversion of wastes into products.
Steve now works with the scientific team to develop the business.
Kamil Woszczynski

Kamil Woszczynski

Kamil has over 14 years of experience in running a commercial food and drink testing microbiology laboratory and has joined our team. Kamil provides a senior supervisory role in the microbiology section and ensures smooth and efficient operation of the microbiology laboratory.
